Daystar received an initial gift from the John & Phyllis Groot Foundation in 2024 to establish the Daystar Foundation, a nonprofit educational foundation that ensures Daystar remains a viable option for families in Chicago who desire a Christ-centered education. The funds are invested in a managed and diversified portfolio governed by a separate Board of Directors. The monies are used at the discretion of this Board of Directors and provide support each year for tuition assistance and faculty development.
