Daystar students live out their faith through service
As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, we are committed to developing students who are principled, caring, and actively engaged in their communities. During Giving Week in May, every Daystar student – from preschool through high school – stepped outside the classroom to serve Chicago. Partnering with organizations like Feed My Starving Children, Roseland Christian Ministries, Pacific Garden Mission, and World Relief, students offered their time, energy, and hearts to those in need. At the same time, we invited our broader community to give back to Daystar, and they responded with incredible generosity, helping us raise nearly $17,000 for our Annual Fund, which supports key priorities like financial aid. Together, these efforts reflected the spirit of Matthew 5, as students and supporters alike lived out what it means to be “salt and light” in their city.
