Learning at Daystar

Education at Daystar is a journey of formation that grows with your child. From early curiosity to thoughtful leadership, each stage of learning builds on the last, shaping students who are grounded in faith, strong in thinking, and ready to serve the world God loves.

From Wonder
to responsibility
to purpose

Daystar students grow within a single, connected community that knows them, challenges them, and walks with them. Families who choose Daystar are choosing a formation pathway that prepares students to think deeply, act justly, and serve faithfully wherever they are called.

Goals of High School

The goal of the High School program at Daystar is to prepare students for thoughtful, purpose-driven lives through rigorous IB coursework, global learning experiences, and an education rooted in the Christian tradition. Building on the inquiry and community engagement of the Middle Years Programme, students deepen their ability to analyze complex issues, engage across differences, and reflect on their identity, faith, and sense of calling. Through interdisciplinary study, service, and international and domestic travel, students consistently connect academic learning to real people and real challenges. Along the way, they develop strong writing, research, and critical-thinking skills, often earning significant college credit and graduating prepared for success at highly regarded colleges and universities, equipped not only to excel academically, but to pursue justice, love mercy, and serve the world God loves.

Goals of Myp

The goal of the Middle Years Programme (MYP) at Daystar is to develop curious, capable, and compassionate learners through rigorous, inquiry-based and interdisciplinary learning. Grounded in the IB framework and shaped by a Christ-centered vision, students engage in community-based learning and real-world problem solving that invites them to wrestle with complex questions, reflect on their beliefs and values, and consider their responsibility to others. Through these experiences, students begin to see themselves as leaders called to love, serve, and help mend what is broken in their communities and in the wider world.

Goals of PYP

The goal of the Primary Years Programme (PYP) at Daystar is to inspire a lifelong love of learning through inquiry, meaningful academic experiences, and purposeful action. Grounded in the IB framework and shaped by a Christ-centered vision, students learn to ask big questions, explore their city and world, and begin to notice where people and places are hurting or in need of care. They are encouraged to take age-appropriate action, learning that faith and learning are meant to shape how we love and serve the world.

Goals of the wonderzone

The goal of the WonderZone program at Daystar is to provide an inquiry-led, joyful learning experience that nurtures the whole child. Through play, exploration, and early questioning, children grow in curiosity and confidence while learning that they are deeply loved by God and called to love their neighbors. WonderZone lays a foundation for lifelong learning by helping students see themselves as capable learners and kind members of a larger community.
