The World is Your Classroom
Global Citizenship
Broadening Horizons and Inspiring Change
For our younger students, we tell them: “The city is your classroom.” In high school, we say: “the world is your classroom.”
Daystar Academy’s XP travel program is one way we put those words into action. International travel is built into the curriculum, giving students the opportunity to witness and immerse themselves in the fascinating and surprising ways that cultures intersect around the world.
Through XP Travel, students deepen their understanding of the challenges facing different communities and the importance of social justice. These trips equip our students with the empathy, resilience, and drive to be agents of positive change well beyond their time at Daystar.
We’re committed to providing every student with equal access to these life-changing opportunities. That’s why the cost of these trips is included in our tuition.
XP 2026
Myths and legends have long helped humans to explain their past, define their values, and explain their surroundings—both natural and manmade. They connect us to our ancestors while continuing to inspire our creativity and literature to this day. In 2026, we embarked on our own epic journeys to decipher the myths, literature, and legends that have helped shape us into who we are today.

This is a unique fundraiser held in late April each year. Monies raised support XP and other unique programming at Daystar Academy.
Domestic and international travel shows our students that there are a million different ways to live and to eat and to dress and to celebrate and to view the world, and “our way” isn’t the right way, but just one way. Shaping students who can honor different cultures and viewpoints is key to building a more just, hopeful future for our communities and our world.
